The WAL-QP-1X150RT-100 is a quadpod mounted work area LED light and provides 10,000 square feet of work area coverage with 21,600 lumens of light output. This portable LED light tower has a removable LED light head mounted on top of a four leg durable steel quadpod equipped with wheels for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the workspace to another. The LED light head on this unit produces a wide flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating large workspaces and job sites. This light is designed for heavy duty use in demanding conditions including emergency services, mining, construction, marine, and industrial operations where durability and reliability is critical.
This portable LED light is comprised of an adjustable LED light head mounted atop a four leg quadpod fabricated from light weight aluminum tubing. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twelve feet and collapsed to four and a half feet and included solid wheels allow the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. The LED light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp can be easily adjusted vertically and locked into position.
Light Head: The WAL-QP-1X150RT-100 features a GAU-LTL-150W-LED 160 watt LED light head that produces 21,600 lumens of high-intensity LED light. With a low a 1.25 amp draw at 120V, 80,000 hour service life, 120-277 volt compatibility, and IP67 waterproof rating, this LED flood light provides operators with a rugged and powerful LED alternative to 400 watt metal halide lamps that uses little power and can withstand rugged use and abusive conditions.
The light head on this unit produces 21,600 lumens of high intensity light while drawing only 160 watts at 1.25 amps from a 120 volt electrical system. Sixteen Cree® high output LEDs producing 1,350 lumens each are arranged in rows and paired with PMMA high purity optics to produce a well focused 24° wide spot beam that is ideal for providing far reaching concentrated illumination while still covering a substantial amount of area. We also offer optional optics with 10° spot, 38° narrow flood, 60° flood, and 90° wide flood beam spreads. The spot beams are tightly focused and are designed for high elevation mounting to achieve distance, making spot versions ideal for high mast and spots lighting. The flood beams are designed to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as dedicated work and area lights.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units feature individual heat sinks per bank of six LEDs to control heat buildup rather than utilizing a single housing to dissipate heat. This allows for more thorough cooling of the LEDs for extended operating periods. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 90% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours.
Durability: As well as unparalleled heat control, the LED light head on this unit from from Larson Electronics also offers IP67 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40° Celsius to +80° Celsius, are waterproof, and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from die cast aluminum and the optics are high transmission PMMA with 98% light transmittance. The Cree® LEDs help these units achieve resistance to vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 80,000 hours of use. We recommend these LED lights for use in applications where a lot of vibration, dust, dirt, dampness and abusive working conditions are encountered.
Included with this LED light quadpod is 100 feet of SOOW cord which, combined with the adjustability offered by the LED light head, provides ample length for tower placement and optimal coverage of the workspace. The easy to collapse design of this LED work light tower allows Larson Electronics to avoid pallet freight charges when shipping and deliver these units via UPS next day air service, which in turn improves delivery time and reduces the cost to buyers.
The LED light head on this unit is small enough to allow it to fit through most standard size manholes and entry points. The LED light head can also be removed from the quadpod, the quadpod collapsed and the entire assembly passed through a manhole and reassembled once inside. This unit is universal voltage capable and configured to operate on 120-277 volts AC, 50/60 Hz. This LED light head retains 80% of its lumen output after 80,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps.
