The Magnalight WAL-TP-2XGLM-H-1227 Tripod Mounted Dual HID Remote Controlled Spotlight tripod consists of two 35 watt HID remote controlled spotlight heads mounted atop an aluminum tripod.. The heavy duty aluminum tripod mount provides the ability to easily and quickly deploy these lights and extend them to any height between 3 and 8 feet. An included inline transformer allows operation with common 120-277 VAC wall outlet current.
This dual HID remote control spotlight tripod contains two HID Golight light heads that produce 3,000 lumens each while drawing 35 watts at 0.3 amps, for a combined a total of 6,000 of intense light output at 70 watts and 0.6 amp draw. Each light features 370° rotation and 140° tilt while producing a focused spot beam with limited spread or light spillage (over 5000'L Spot Beam). Both light heads move simultaneously, requiring only one remote to operate both lights.
These remote control lights are for hunting and demanding outdoor use with a weather resistant housing constructed of a high quality ASA Luran thermoplastic that is heat resistant, impact resistant, UV resistant, and able to withstand rugged use and abusive conditions. Both lights are magnetic mounted and can be easily be removed from the tower for stowing or transport.
Remote Operation: Remote control functions include on/off, and 4 buttons which control up, down, left and right movement. The light will continue movement as long as the buttons are depressed. Releasing the buttons stops movement and holds the Golight in position. A fast and slow mode button (turtle/hare) controls the speed of the motor while the pan and tilt function buttons are depressed. Holding the button for 12 seconds in fast mode results in a full 370 degree rotation, and 8 seconds for full tilt. Slow mode is used for pinpoint accuracy at distance and is approximately 35 seconds for full rotation and 20 seconds for one full range of tilt.
Durability: This portable light tower has a durable black finish, making it ideal for docks and buildings where an attractive appearance is desired. Available in black or white finishes. Remote movement of this spotlight is provided by an automotive grade internal motor, gear, and transmission assembly that is constructed of LEXAN, brass, and stainless steel to provide rust and corrosion resistance as well as long life and reliable operation.
Power: The WAL-TP-2XGLM-1227 runs on any voltage ranging from 120 Volts to 277 Volts AC with the included inline transformer. Operators can run these lights directly from any available wall outlet, 220V, or 277VAC power source. Alternatively, by disconnecting the included transformer, each light can be powered by any 12 volt DC battery, generator, or vehicle.
This light operates with 120 volts AC and draws 0.6 amps. When powered from a 12 volt DC power source, this light draws 11 amps, making it ideal for vehicles, boats, ATVs, and similar sources of 12 volt direct current.
Light Output: The lamp in this HID Golight Stryker is a 35 watt high intensity discharge bulb which produces 15 million retail candle power rating. This bulb is paired with a tight focus reflector and thick glass lens to produce a narrow spot beam reaching over 5,000 feet in length. Combined, the two lights on this portable tripod product 30 million retail candle power rating and 6,000 lumens.
Unlike our larger metal halide towers, these LED lights can be positioned next to the users. While our larger WAL-C-2XM 2000 watt metal halide lights on telescoping tripods cover more area, they are typically paired with large portable electrical distribution panels, transformers or diesel generators. The noise, fumes and high wattage electrical cabling usually requires that the operator positions the portable light tower at some distance from the work area or event. While these LED light towers produce less light coverage than the large metal halide lights, they can be placed right next to the work area, event or operators, so the overall effective illumination will be greater.
